Hospitals of Hope - Benefit Concert 2008

Hospitals of Hope held a benefit concert featuring Sleeping at Last, Wild Sweet Orange, and Audrye Sessions on October 19, 2008 at the Murdock Theatre in Wichita, KS. 100% of the proceeds are going to benefit Hospitals of Hope's work in Liberia, where we plan to help rebuild the medical infrastructure destroyed during the civil war.

Thanks to all who came out to the concert, as well as to the volunteers who put so much time and energy into making the concert run smoothly. Thanks to the bands, as well; all of them did an amazing job. Sleeping at Last is based out of Wheaton, Illinois and has toured with groups including Switchfoot, Something Corporate, and The Format, in addition to headlining several of their own tours. Their most recent album, Keep No Score, included the song "Quicksand," which was featured on the Season 3 premiere of "Grey's Anatomy." Wild Sweet Orange's debut full-length record, "We Have Cause to be Uneasy," recently hit the streets on July 29th. The set follows last winter's "Whale" EP, which earned the Birmingham, AL-based group critical acclaim and road trips with bands including Counting Crows, the Whigs and Augustana.

One album track, "Land of No Return," was featured in a 2007 episode of ABC-TV's "Grey's Anatomy" and Wild Sweet Orange recently performed the lead single, "Ten Dead Dogs," on CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman."
